LONDON – The Royal College of Art (RCA) in London has again been named the world’s leading university for art and design, securing the top spot in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 for the 11th consecutive year. Based on the most extensive global survey of academic and industry perspectives, this prestigious ranking highlights the RCA’s exceptional reputation, earning an overall score of 97.4 percent.
The QS rankings also showcase the UK’s dominance in creative education, with the University of the Arts London claiming second place in the Art and Design category. UK institutions outperform renowned international universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Rhode Island School of Design, and Parsons School of Design in the US, as well as leading European schools like Aalto University in Finland and Politecnico di Milano in Italy. The Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music have also secured the top two positions in the Performing Arts rankings.
