London, UK— The return of Frieze Sculpture in Regent’s Park from September 18 to October 27, 2024, always feels like the start of a new art season in the capitol. Curated by the insightful Fatoş Üstek, this 12th edition promises to be the most ambitious yet, featuring 22 leading international artists from five continents. This eagerly anticipated event runs alongside Frieze London and Frieze Masters from October 9 to 13, transforming the park’s historic English Gardens into a global art hub.
“This year’s Frieze Sculpture features daring and experimental artistic approaches,” Üstek stated. “It carves a place for playful encounters, socially and environmentally conscious themes, and conceptual and spiritual practices that redefine public sculpture. With extensive public programs and collaborations across London, the 2024 edition offers more than ever.”
Building on Üstek’s successful inaugural edition in 2023, this year’s program expands the boundaries of sculpture. It includes 18 new works incorporating sound, light, performance, painting, video, and augmented reality. An extensive public program of live activations and curator-led tours will enrich the exhibition experience.
For the first time, Bloomberg Connects will be the official digital guide for Frieze Sculpture. Available on the Bloomberg Connects app, this free guide offers exclusive content and an audio tour narrated by Üstek.
