An exhibition featuring artists who consider elements of mass media with a regard that questions its persuasive power-base. Their re-articulations result in works ranging from painting and collage to social intervention, to music. A dialectical play between what is hidden and what is revealed comes to the fore.
The works shown span over twenty years of engaged practice, whilst some have been made in a direct response to a current environment of borders and confinement. These works display a commitment to the continuum of making in a world governed by consumerism.
Participating artists: Stephen Carter, Leigh Clarke, Marq Kearey, kennardphillipps, Simon Leahy- Clark, Cat Phillipps and Calum Storrie. Curated by Simon Streather.
