Vanya Balogh & Tomaz Kramberger: End of May

Vanya Balogh & Tomaz Kramberger The Cello Factory

A Multimedia exhibition devised and curated by artists Vanya Balogh & Tomaz Kramberger

End of May is a two-man exhibition addressing and responding to the current critical stalemate/impasse and general state of affairs in the UK, EU and the rest of the World. Two European artists, one based in London, member of The London Group Vanya Balogh, and the other Tomaz Kramberger based and working in Munich, Germany have curated each others works for this special presentation at The Cello Factory.

For both artists, this is a continuation of the dialogue they set during the residency in Berlin, 2015 before the UK referendum took place. The exhibits in this show are an amalgamation of recent and old works and feature two collaborations between the artists who share the enthusiasm for a European project and highlight the fine line between disorder and beauty, decay and growth, disaster and success, including in the process some spontaneous alcohol drinking interactive action from visitors of the exhibition. Both artists will be present during the show and will host a set of events and talks to be announced this weekend. It is The End Of May and this celebratory moment, captured as a historic and transformative month in the United Kingdom will prove yet again that a week is a long time in politics.
