Celebrate 25 years of Tate Modern with live music, performances, talks, and tours that bring our world-renowned modern and contemporary art collection to life. Join in the extended weekend of art, experiences, and community – free and open to all.

DIY arts and music collective NiNE8 (Lava La Rue, Biig Piig, Mac Wetha, Nige, Lorenzo RSV, Bone Slim) are back at Tate Modern taking over the Turbine Hall with DJ sets all night. Catch sets from NiNE8 and Friends featuring DJ Lavaland, Mac Wetha and more.

Terrace Bar, Blavatnik Building, Level 1
Radiate Festival curates a vibrant micro music festival influenced and shaped by Sound Systems riddims, Carnival essence and Windrush spirit, in a captivating journey through Black British music culture. Dance the evening away as DJ KTM, Phat Kontrolaz and Hyper Spice from Radiate Festival’s Collective mix Caribbean and African music with Urban Streets Sounds in a backdrop of feathers from SugarRush Designs.
18.30–21.30 | Films and DJ Set: move/005 Curated by fynn studio
South Tanks, Blavatnik Building, Level 0
move/005 takes inspiration from Dan Halter’s 2005 film Queen Of Rave, from Tate’s collection. Fusing footage of British 90’s rave scenes with protests from South African townships at the time, the film inspires ideas around collectivist resistance. The three films that follow feature stories from DJs Karen Nyame KG and Nia Archives. move/005 has been curated by fynn studio culminating in an exclusive two-hour DJ set from Radio 1 DJ Jaguar starting at 19.40.

An audio described tour of selected artworks in the collection display, designed for blind and partially sighted visitors. The tour is led by the Visitor Experience team and highlights their 3 favourite artworks in Tate Modern’s collection display.

19.30–20.30 | Film: A Night of Dreams – A Short Film Screening curated by Stafi Samaki and BIB (Black in Britain)
Starr Cinema, Natalie Bell Building, Level 1
A curated selection of short films by Black female filmmakers and a spoken word performance which unravel the soft terror and quiet beauty of growing up, coming undone, and remaking the self. Inspired by the haunted domesticities in Dorothea Tanning’s surrealist painting Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and reimagined through a contemporary lens, this poetic and intimate offering invites audiences to experience the space between dreams and reality. Performances BSL interpreted.

Celebrate Tate Modern’s international collection with a vibrant daytime programme, inviting all generations to connect through art and creative exchange.
