The 20th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach takes place in the Miami Beach Convention Centre from 29 November –4 December 2022. We will be adding events to this guide, so feel free to return for updates.
Over 280 of the world’s leading international Modern and contemporary art galleries display artworks by over 4,000 artists, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, film, video and digital art. Visitors can find works ranging from editioned pieces by young artists to museum-calibre masterpieces. With more than half of its participants having exhibition spaces in the Americas, Art Basel in Miami Beach is the leading art show in the region.

This is the 20th anniversary of Miami’s premier fair, where international dealers meet collectors and other industry insiders. More than 280 exhibitors from 38 countries will be on view in sectors including Galleries in the Nova, Survey, and Positions. In addition, 20 large-scale installations will spread over Meridians, with 29 bespoke curated stands presented in Kabinett.

Design Miami – 30 November–4 December
Design Miami/ Now, in its 18th edition, is the most important design fair in the U.S.; Design Miami presents a complete program incorporating the theme of the “Golden Age: Looking to the Future” This year, it is curated by Maria Cristina Didero.

New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) 30 November–3 December
NADA is also celebrating its 20th edition in Miami and celebrates the organization’s 20th anniversary. The fair has come a long way: In 2003, only 35 exhibitors participated, while this year will see 146 galleries hailing from more than 40 international cities. In addition, for the third year, NADA is hosting the Curated Spotlight section, organized for this edition by Joeonna Bellorado-Samuels, founder of We Buy Gold and a director at Jack Shainman.

UNTITLED Art – 29 November–3 December

Untitled is well worth a visit. The fair hosts some of the more exciting work you will see at the fair. This is the largest edition yet, featuring more than 140 galleries from around the world.

SCOPE International Art Show – 29 November–4 December
Scope is located directly on the beach in a marquee. This is the 21st edition presenting diverse contemporary artists and galleries. The New Contemporary section is a must-see. In addition, there are panel discussions, performances and alternative activities taking place throughout the fair.

Aqua Art Miami – 30 November–4 December
The Aqua Art Miami fair is held at the Aqua Hotel in Miami Beach.
Aqua has 41 exhibitors. This year the fair is partnering with the nonprofit Black & White Project Space, run by Ukrainian national Tatyana Okshteyn.

Pinta moves to a new space at The Hangar in Coconut Grove, the former H.Q. of Pan Am Airlines. Galleries from Sao Paulo to Canada will be featured.

SATELLITE Art Show
29 November–4 December
One of the newer fairs, Satellite, returns for its seventh edition with a lineup of installations housed in shipping containers. The fair takes place on the beach. Sculptures, Performances, Activist Presentations, and Music sounds fun. Not to miss!

Prizm Art Fair – 29 November–4 December
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Prizm presents an international roster of artists from as far as Africa and the global African diaspora to Miami. This year, the fair presents Vernacular À la Mode, a showcase that “explores how vernacular modes of art making originating in global African contexts have influenced the cultivation of fine art practice worldwide.”

Spectrum Miami / Red Dot Miami – December 1–4
If you are a lover of animal art and paintings of wide-eyed children, Spectrum and Red Dot return to Miami with art spread across more than 100,000 square feet in the tony Wynwood neighbourhood.
