Art14, London’s newest alternative to the Frieze Art Fair launched last night with a glittering preview evening. The fair has expanded considerably from its first outing last year, bringing a host of international galleries to the capital.

Proclaiming themselves, London’s newest Global Art Fair – Art14 London offers an unrivalled opportunity to experience and discover the diverse work emerging from different cultures across the world, under one roof. Featuring over 180 galleries, the Fair will showcase modern and contemporary art from regions including Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Australia, Europe and the USA.

Fair highlights include, 182 Galleries from 42 Countries, Extensive Talks Programm, Including ‘Museum Era: The Rise of Asia’ with Dr Oei Hong Djien, Wang Wei, Budi Tek and Sunhee Kim; ‘Art & the City’ with Kate Rothko, Dai Zhikang, Giovanna Melandri and Don and Mera Rubell;  ’10 Things  You Didn’t Know About…’ featuring Hans Ulrich Obrist and Iwona Blazwick

They are presenting a Global Private Museum Summit, bringing together Private Museum owners from around the world in a closed forum discussion focusing on how museums can work together to produce innovative global exhibitions.

Art & the City, A major initiative exploring how art is a motor of economic and social change in cities around the world, featuring a private colloquium, public talk and ‘Open Art’ initiative, providing members of the public access to existing private collections

Project Installations,Featuring work by Zhao Zhao, Yinka Shonibare and Ai Weiwei and Performance Programme, featuring artists including Liliane Lijn and Doug Fishbone.
