Protocol – Q Park Hosts Subterranean Exhibition During Frieze Week

Protocol Q Park John Lewis

Q Park once again will host Protocol an exhibition of over 100 emerging and mid-career artists during Frieze week in its subterranean car park in Cavendish Square.

Following the popularity of the previous five exhibitions held at this unique west end location, Arts patron Geoffrey Leong once again joins forces with dynamic artist-curator Vanya Balogh to support this non-profit event featuring over 100 international artists in the circular 20000 Sqft multi-storey car park beneath Cavendish Square in West End. Whilst unusual in terms of location, this annual event likes to question and poke, challenge and inspire, entice and entertain, cajole and embrace all art lovers and visitors equally. Open and free to the public for three consecutive days it will feature works in the medium of sculpture, photography, painting, performance and site-specific installation.

This fabulous event follows up on the collective and democratic artist led idea of previous shows hosted at Cavendish Square during Frieze Art Week which featured curators from UK, Iceland, Holland, Belgium, South Korea, Israel, Switzerland and Italy, completing a series of events which started with highly acclaimed “Big Deal No5 ” initiated and curated by Vanya Balogh and Cedric Christie.

“Supporting Arts is an important part of bringing incredible works to the public. I believe this will be both original & inspiring exhibition in a unique space which brings a required element of curiosity, fun & play into the fray. There really is nothing like it in the world of art we see today, the engaging of artists & the public in perfect harmony. Expect the unexpected.” Geoff Leong, patron
