The 2019 edition of the charity art exhibition, Queer Frontiers presented by ARTIQ and Hiscox is a highlighted feature during Pride Month in London.
Queer Frontiers celebrates the work of LGBTQ+ artists and allies, with a pop-up exhibition and programme of events open to the public from 3rd to 10 July 2019, during Pride in London. The exhibition will showcase 31 artworks by 26 emerging and established artists, ranging from painting and photography to sculpture and screenprints. Proceeds from the sale of artwork will go to support charities Akt and Switchboard and LGBTQ+ artists and allies, with either 50% or 100% of sales donated at the individual artists’ discretion.
The final curation for this year’s event was selected by leading art consultants ARTIQ (the event’s instigators and organisers); event sponsors and specialist insurers Hiscox and specially-invited judges from The Whitechapel Art Gallery. Artworks will include sculpture by Sam Shendi, photographic images by leading Italian photographer Paolo Raeli and artist Teo Robinson; artworks by Helen Beard, Bernard Fournier, textile artist Henry Hussey and leading street and installation artists Sickboy and Maser alongside some of the most exciting up and coming artists, selected by the judges via an open call to the public.

Queer Frontiers x akt: LGBTQ+ Life Drawing class | 12pm – 2pm | Friday 05 July + Tuesday 09 July Come and join for a relaxed life drawing session taught by art professionals as part of the Queer Frontiers exhibition programme. This event is aimed at LGBTQ+ young people who are homeless or are living in hostile environments. Snacks and drinks provided.
ARTIQ x Creative Industries Federation: What is the value of Art in 2019? | 6pm-8pm | Wednesday 10 July ARTIQ and the Creative Industries Federation are bringing leaders from the art world together to debate the importance of Art in 2019. Join us for a live discussion. Drinks provided. Places limited.
