The East Wing Biennial is a contemporary art exhibition held within the east wing of The Courtauld Institute university buildings in Somerset House, organised and run entirely by the students of The Courtauld.
A glimpse into the future of the contemporary art scene, this year’s exhibition, titled SURGE will set a new precedent in exhibiting the work of emerging student artists. At the heart of this year’s exhibition is the concept of collaboration, between the art worlds future curators and creators. Built on the established reputation of The Courtauld, this year’s exhibition will provide a unique insight into the future of the contemporary art scene.
Curating the leading creatives from some of the worlds most renowned Art schools including the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins this is a unique opportunity to see work outside of degree shows and under one roof.
The East Wing will open its doors to the public for two days only, on the 28th and 29th April. Tickets are available via Eventbrite where there are additional options for a curator-led tour
