The Squaring the Circle installation comprises of a series of multimedia wall sculptures by London-based Gzillion Artist.
Gzillion’s inspiration stems from modernist architecture, engineering machinery and natural landscapes. After years in visual merchandising, creating window displays for high-end stores, from Harrods to Ralph Lauren, and internationally exhibiting work, including group shows at three consecutive Venice Biennales, Gzillion draws on years of exploring the elegance of large circular forms and the intriguing negative spaces produced by such. Working with materials such as painted wood to stones and metals, he delves into the inherent beauty of raw materials.
It is in this exhibition that Gzillion meticulously explores how surfaces and materials collide and transform over time in response to the relentless forces of decay. He seeks to find beauty in simplicity and invites viewers to appreciate the interplay of form, texture, and space, fostering a connection between the observer and the timeless allure of contemporary minimalism.
