Marina Rheingantz: Maré

Opening during Frieze London, White Cube presents the first UK solo exhibition of works by São Paulo-based artist Marina Rheingantz. Dense in paint and often expansive in scale, Rheingantz’s landscapes impart the experience of seeing distant, vanishing horizons and wide, panoramic views. Formed by an accumulation of paint, her works are characterised by their rich surface texture, sense of mass and dissolution of image. Privileging the physicality of paint and its application, Rheingantz explores the realm of the pictorial that exists between matter and abstraction.
