A print by the American Pop artist Jasper Johns depicting an American flag has been donated to the British Museum. Jasper Johns’s Flags I (1973) was gifted to London’s most popular Museum by the New York-based collectors Johanna and Leslie Garfield.

A Canadian gallery has brought a federal complaint against a New York art dealer alleging he tried to give works by the American ‘Pop’ artist Jasper Johns official provenances.
The most comprehensive study of Jasper Johns’ work to date, Including never before exhibited works and a new monograph is to be published by The Wildenstein Plattner Institute (WPI). The five-volume publication was announced for release in April 2017.
