9. The Flower Thrower, 2003
This iconic work from the street artist continues to stand out among all of Banksy’s work. The subject, who appears to be involved in a riot, wears a handkerchief and backwards cap and is depicted armed with a bouquet of flowers instead of a Molotov cocktail. The complete work was created in black and white, except the flowers, which were in colour. The work has been reproduced in the form of prints, phone cases, T-shirts, and even tattoos.
