The Royal Academy has against all odds unveiled its 252 annual Summer Exhibition. Today is ‘varnishing day’ where the artists can see their works for the first time in situ. Agreed it was supposed to take place in June as tradition dictates but these are unprecedented times and it is a relief that the exhibition has gone ahead at all.

RA Summer Exhibition Returns To Form Under Jock McFadyen

This year the RA Summer Exhibition has returned to form with a talented lineup of artists chosen by an inexhaustible group of jurors. The 251st edition received over 16,000 entries. Around 1200 works, in a range of media, goes on display, next week. The majority of these artworks are offered for sale, allowing visitors to purchase original work by upcoming and established artists.

Twelve Exhibitions To Visit Out Of London Summer 2018

If you’re planning on heading out of London this summer, Artlyst has put together a list of twelve exhibitions to see around the UK. The main event over the summer has to be the Liverpool Biennial but Artlyst is covering this deserving spectacle elsewhere.
