Inspiration – Contemporary Art & Classics – Revd Jonathan Evens

Galleries and museums around the world are reopening. Among the first exhibitions being shown that caught my eye were Leaves of Grass by Max Gimblett at Page Galleries in Wellington, the pairing of Kudditji Kngwarreye and Idris Murphy at Mitchell Fine Art in Brisbane, and Inspiration – Contemporary Art & Classics at Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki.

Sculpture In The City London Unveils Edition Nine

Sculpture in the City, the annual public art programme set amongst well-known architectural landmarks, has launched, celebrating their ninth edition. Nineteen artworks make up this year’s outdoor sculpture park in the Square Mile, to include a new artwork by Jonathan Trayte to be unveiled in Autumn 2019.

Vout-O-Reenees Host Art Auction To Raise Awareness On Knife  Crime

After the fire in Grenfell Tower happened, the arts club Vout-O-Reenees, in London’s East End, decided to raise money to help pay for therapy units and youth services until public money became available. Putting on a night of music, a tombola and an exhibition of artworks generously donated by artists and art dealers, the club raised almost £40,000.

ParisPhoto, the biggest photo fair in Europe held each November at the Grand Palais, returned with its 22nd edition, attracting nearly 70.000 visitors in four days and gathering more than 200 exhibitors from all around the world, offering an unparalleled presentation of contemporary and vintage photography from grandmasters to emerging young talents.
